Glenn Howard White, Jr. (1944-2004)

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that our brother in Christ, Glenn White, went home to eternity on November 27, 2004. Glenn suffered a heart attack while paddling off Oahu's shore with his friends from the canoe club. Despite the tremendous efforts of his canoe team and paramedics waiting onshore, Glenn slipped away from this earth and into the embrace of his Lord. His ashes will be scattered at sea by the twin islands of Mokulua off of Lanikai on the island of O'ahu.

We ask for your prayers upon his wife, Sheila, and their children and grandchildren. In addition to his family, Glenn leaves behind many friends who loved him and admired his love for the Lord. If you have a message of condolence or encouragement that you would like to pass on, you may do so by clicking here.

WriteToInspire.com will remain open indefinitely as that is what Glenn would've wanted. However, his weekly newsletter will no longer be visiting our mailbox as it has been every Friday. WriteToInspire was his personal ministry of encouragement to others as well as an extension of his love for writing and of the Lord.

When we last spoke, he was excited because Daily Wisdom had just printed a story that he had written and submitted. It was entitled "A Matter of Honor" and can be read at http://gci.gospelcom.net/dw/2004/11/10/. The article generated many unsolicited responses from people around the world who wrote to express how his story ministered to their lives and the damaged relationships they suffered with their parents. Many of them expressed how reading the article helped them to overcome their bitter feelings and traumas.

Glenn would want to encourage you to continue with your passion for writing and to give honor to Him who has given all Christian writers the motivation to write to inspire.
