Self-Inspired Writers
by Paul Mobley
Everyone is a writer ! No ? Consider those letters to children, to parents, to friends, and to someone sick. These are usually inspirational. And they comfort, mentor, and support those which the letters are written to. At the same time the writer feels good about them.
Inspirational Material
Add to that the many inspirational characters in the Bible, and their stories. Moses had to be prodded causing him to become highly successful in his efforts. Elijah was ready to give up, when God said "wait a minute Elijah, there are several thousand faithful out there." And Elijah went on to more success. King David, despite his problems, is very inspiring not only as a king, but in overcoming his problems, and became a well remembered esteemed person.
All of these are inspiring to learn about, and to write about, or to provide material for inspirational articles. To these are added those we know who have overcome health problems, those who have gone from a stumbling speaker to a polished speaker, and those who started as a mail boy or girl in a company and rose to the highest levels of management. Or what about that person who always seems to be there when someone has a need ? And what about you ? Could you write well while in high school ? No. But you can write now.
There is much inspirational material about us, that is real, and ready to be used for articles. But you say, I am a whiner. I just cannot get in the mood to inspire. Okay, so you are a whiner, a complainer, a critic, so what.
Take those same thoughts and convert them into positive suggestions, and recommendations, and you are likely to have an inspirational article. And you may more find receptiveness to your words, and accomplish something good at the same time.
Inspirational Writing
Inspiration encourages endurance and further success in whatever one's life may be, opens the mind to what can be, offers hope for something better than now, and leads to productive thinking that entertains success as a real possibility. Isn't that what Jesus did while on earth ?
By now you should have an article suitable for publication. Each person has likes and dislikes about what they read.
For myself, I like meaty material, something that supplies information, facts, and what I could do with it to make me better. I like humor kept to a minimum unless the whole article is meant to be humorous. Yet there are many articles, and books I read, that do not always meet those ideas.
So it is with the reading of many people. It is hard not to read inspiring words ! For they fill us with possibility for self, with hope, and often with comfort.
In a word, write!
