Short and Sweet #6

Six Bucks, Ten Minutes, and a Hot Cookie Sheet!

The truth is, it IS tough to find time to write.  We rush around - eat in the car, sleep in class, make phone calls and study while watching TV. Maniacal-multi-tasking!  We  don't even have time to take a shower or brush our teeth!  But we MAKE time.  (And, by the way, we thank you! grin, grin!)    We get the important stuff done.  When was the last time you didn t eat or brush your hair for more than a day?

Treat writing the same way...  AND...

Treat every writing idea like a hot cookie sheet!  How long you gonna hold on to that?

Put it down!  Quick, fast, now!    ... And it s done!

How?!  Well, got six bucks and 10 minutes?

Good use em! And you'll write for the rest of your life...

Hit the Dollar Store and buy a bundle of mini notepads (spiral with a hole in the top), a roll of tape, suction cups, a ball of string or ribbon, and two packs of pens, pencils, or bright (inspiring!) markers.   Six bucks and 10 minutes to run in, check out.  You can do the next step in your car - hey, it's that important!

Your writing can change the world...  But only if you do it!

So...  snap off
12 inches of string for each notepad.  Use the string to attach a notepad and pen.  Tape each knot to secure.  You want these to last.  Now, slip the "mini journals" in the bag and carry it with you.  Drop, hide them, suction cup a mini-journal at each of the places you visit over the next few days.  Make sure to put one on the bathroom mirror, one on the refrigerator, and suction one to a window that you use often to think through... and, of course, one on the kitchen window over the sink.  It s worth quoting Agatha Christie one more time:  "The best time for planning a book is while you're doing the dishes."  Give a few to a friend!

Now, at least twice a day, DROP A HOT IDEA in ANY of these books.  I ve written entire books this way.  When it was time, I just rifled through my collection of mini-journals for ideas and complete stories.  They add up like crazy and prove blessings that are sent one at a time.  Just a few lines, no effort, and you ll reflect your TRUE life and God s true Leadings in it...

REMEMBER! Drop each idea like a hot cookie sheet.  Twice a day.  Even No ideas today!  Hey, that s writing! Do this 30 days and you ve got a habit!

God bless you.  And when He does - write it down to encourage the rest of us!
