Holiday Writing Tips

Write down what you experience during the holidays. Your feelings, story snippets, gift ideas, decorating ideas. Did you buy a gift for a special friend? Do missions work? Find yourself sad or lonely? Excited like a little kid? Have an "Epiphany?" How did your church events go? Did you fall off the stage? Cry?

Make sure you calendar May 15,2003 - next year! – to write your holiday stories. Then submit them to your favorite magazine. It's easy to make a commitment that won't come for five months! It takes the fear out.

And your submission will have the details of today - and arrive at your favorite magazine just in time for next year's holiday issue! TIP: Magazines pull their editions together SEVERAL months before the event. Calendar all types of stories about 6 months prior to the holiday... EZ, huh?
